We're thrilled to announce the release of PPS' book "How to Turn A Place Around" in Albanian. Making this important Placemaking guide available to an Albanian audience builds on PPS' work in the Eastern European Region, including "Community Development through Public Space Improvements," a Placemaking training and pilot program conducted in Kosovo with support from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
This week, PPS' Elena Madison travels to Pristina, Kosovo to join Eliza Hoxha (architect, urban designer, and Founder of Urbaniac) in hosting the book's launch on March 1 at 6pm at the Modelarium of the Civil Engineering and Architecture Department of the University of Prishtina.
At the event, Elena will speak about the principles and practice of Placemaking in the context of Eastern Europe and about PPS projects in Kosovo, Serbia, and Croatia.
