What makes it Great?

Why it doesn't work?

The park's focal point is a 355 feet suspension bridge hovering over Reedy Falls. It also has concert space and leisure park space. Garden area. Walking Trails

Access & Linkages

The County, Swamp Rabbit, greenway runs through the park. Also there is a trolley that connects people through downtown to the park.

Comfort & Image

There is abundant seating with a caf_ overlooking the park and benches/picnic tables throughout. Pavilion for wedding receptions and parties. Always clean with the city gardening/maintenance crews. The area attracts local families for picnics and young people with their dogs.

Uses & Activities

Concerts, theater, art shows, older adult power walkers, young couple on dates, family picnics, teenagers from adjacent charter high school.

Sociability

People are generally in shock and excitement when they enter the space. The park tends to evoke friendliness from visitors. The place definitely regulates peoples mood to be more relaxed. There is much local pride as many claiming this to be a landmark city park. Most people bring their visiting family and friends to the park. There is a plaza right off main for business professionals to eat lunch together.

How Light?

How Quick?

How Cheap?

History & Background

As a college student, I frequent this park to study and have lunch with friends. It is typically and after dinner stroll at night to walk across the beautifully lit bridge.
