On a recent homecoming trip, Nidhi Gulati (Project Associate, PPS) took a break from traditional family visits to visit a new type of family - a public sort of family. At Raahgiri Day, a weekly public space event held in New Delhi, participants are brought together by a shared love of exercise, fresh air, and togetherness. They run, skip, jump, dance, and cycle their way to happiness and healthfulness every Sunday morning from 6 to 9 AM on main streets closed off to motorized vehicular traffic.
Take a look at Nidhi’s most recent Exposure photoblog and experience Raahgiri Day through the eyes of a professional Placemaker. For a more in-depth look at the event, you can also read her blog on the subject here.
