COVID-19: The Recovery will Happen in Public Space

A Global Placemaking Movement

Project for Public Spaces founded the Placemaking Leadership Council (PLC) in 2013 to establish an international, interdisciplinary network of placemakers working in many diverse contexts.

As new local and regional networks have emerged around the world—inspired in part by the PLC—Project for Public Spaces has decided to sunset the PLC itself and to spin off a separate organization called PlacemakingX to support this self-organizing movement more fully. See below for an archive of the PLC's activities from 2013 to 2019.

PlacemakingX launches June 2019 in Valencia, Spain to fully focus on accelerating and amplifing the fast growing global movement.
