After a successful spring training season, we're happy to announce our fall training programs! We love doing trainings because, even after 40 years of working with communities around the world to make great places, we still discover new things while working with an international group of planners, students, scholars, and managers. The training courses for our Fall 2015 session include Placemaking: Making it Happen and How to Create Successful Markets. We hope you can join us and help make it another great year!

Placemaking: Making it Happen | September 30 - October 2, 2015

For two and a half days, attendees of Placemaking: Making it Happen will have the opportunity to learn about the dynamic world of Placemaking. Speakers from design colleges, development corporations, park management groups, Business Improvement Districts, and others will share their stories and expertise--exploring the success and failures of their projects and opening up a collaborative discussion about best practices. After an introduction of Placemaking theories and methodologies, participants will then learn about and explore a set of hands-on tools for creating vibrant places. While experiencing the life of New York City firsthand, there will be plenty of time to network, and participants are guaranteed to learn both from the city and from each other. Visitors are strongly encouraged to bring current or future projects to the training.
