Michelle Glickert an Oregon native with over 15 years of experience as a Transportation Planner in Southern California has worked on planning for planes, trains, buses and bikes. Experience includes working on large-scale projects such as the LAX Master Plan, Southern California’s Regional Transportation Plan, and locally on the award winning Land Use and Circulation Element (LUCE) for the City of Santa Monica’s General Plan. Most recent work has included producing and now implementing the City of Santa Monica’s Bike Action Plan. She provided design and operation guidance for the recently opened bike parking center, one of the largest in the nation and is working closely with all divisions within the city to cross pollenate a bike culture. She resides in Santa Monica where she is able to ride the talk and use alternate modes of travel to help create the ideal cycle centric city.
