We go on vacation to get away from work (fail!) and to experience something we can’t find at home. Sunshine, the beach, and that mouse are Florida’s primary attractions. But the opportunity to bicycle everywhere is an added allure in the case of Sanibel because many people who vacation here simply don’t have that where they live. Here, I see lots of families riding together in trains that are four, five, and ten (extended families, multi generational) bikes long. This is the bike rack at the local grocery store at 2pm on a Sunday. Nearly every business has bicycle parking. Very cool.
