South San Francisco, CA (1999)

Client: City of South San Francisco

In 1998, the City of South San Francisco received a preliminary proposal to create a public market at Oyster Point Marina, facing San Francisco Bay. Because of this interest, as well as seeing the potential that a public market could have for the city, the City of South San Francisco asked PPS/PMC to analyze the feasibility of establishing a public market; to identify and analyze three potential sites; and to develop an implementation strategy if a market indeed was seen to be viable. A preferred site in downtown was recommended.
