My idea to improve this place

Put an HEB in the downtown area.

So that people could... 

Shop where they live. My son lives in the Hemisview Apartments and must go to the McCreless area or up to Central Market to shop. It would nice to have something within a few blocks of his apartment.

Because I want San Antonio to be...

"user friendly" That is, if one lives downtown, on should be able to access grocery stores, etc.

Open lot at Durango and Labor, 0 Kms

Build an outdoor pedestrian / bike-in movie theatre somewhere in an empty lot in downtown that shows current release films. Of course you would have to have food available.

Charge less for parking. 10 to 20 dollars for Fiesta is INSANE! It is even more by the Rivercenter Mall. Local people avoid downtown because they do not want to pay for parking.

Turn the Institute of Texan Cultures into a centerpiece for Hemisfair the way the Met is for Central Park. Build a more attractive building that opens up right onto Durango.
