My idea to improve this place

Re introduce polo to the City of San Antonio and bring back its place in history as the birthplace of the sport of polo in America. and the cornerstone of calvary training at Fort Sam.

So that people could... 

...enjoy an outdoor event in the fresh air, enjoy the city's parks in a new way, and learn of San Antonio's historical significance as the center of equestian excellence and military excellence. After all, even Teddy Roosevelt played polo here to train for his most important battle.

Because I want San Antonio to be...

...a place to enjoy our history, weather and beautiful scenery.. and not just about the Riverwalk Bars and Restaurants.

narrow the lanes so there is AT LEAST a couple feet on either side for people to walk across the bridge. It gets a lot of foot traffic, at least one motorized wheel chair and countless bicyclists

Bridge across San Antonio River on Roosevelt Ave S, 0.57 Kms

Under the trees and around benches I would suggest putting checkers and domino tables so that seniors can come and play. Also gardening beds and have kids at school provide the maintenance

The green space across the street from Woodlawn Elementary at Bandera and West Quill, 0.67 Kms

Utilize one of the already built rest areas with a pop-up cafe serving cold or hot drinks that could employ and train at-risk youth.
