My idea to improve this place
A short term project is a community garden in one of the empty lots that is owned by the county using this corner-scape as a catalyst for development.
So that people could...
Interact, learn, mingle, enjoy their neighborhood. This intersection is filled with history from the early to mid 1900's. During times of segregation and civil rights, this corner once housed the Keyhole Club, a place where all cultures can listen to great artists play music and integrate themselves through entertainment. It also housed businesses like Leonard's Pharmacy, Han Lee Grocery store, and even a Ritz Theatre. It is now an empty but very busy intersection.

Sand volleyball courts, a basketball court and outdoor-proof, weatherproof exercise equipment (chin up bars, parallel bars, sit up benches, etc). Like the medical center track before Spectrum.
