The idea can be applied at different locations of SATX. It especially enriches the Riverwalk Improvement Project. We choose East bank of BlueStar Arts Complex towards the mission trail as a starter.
My idea to improve this place
Our idea to improve this place is KITE FLYING. Kite flying is a sport, art, recreation, fun and social activity. It is for everyone; all ages, genders, cultures, social or economic layers of SATX.
So that people could...
So that people of San Antonio will have one more reason to come together under the sky, in the sky and by the river. Kite flying can make people meet with people; also can make the river meet with the sky. San Antonio has beautiful skies, and people and a river. Kites can recreate, redefine universal and multicultural localities and connect people, spaces and cultures.
Because I want San Antonio to be...
Because, we want San Antonio to be an outdoor room for its residents. We want it to be a healthy, active, and interconnected city. Because, we want it to be urban; embracing differences and similarities, revealing and sharing its beauties. We want San Antonio to be a city of richness and depth for everyone. In terms of improvement, we have sought for an idea / activity that simply can make people look to each other, and can generate communication basis and intersection of paths. We want a gentle FLOW with tangled lives in San Antonio.

This under utilized city icon should be used to serve as a public land (and water) to the residents and visitors of San Antonio. I propose the area of land and water be used as a city pool/park.
