My idea to improve this place

build a nine/18 hole disc golf course. partner with local disc golf clubs to build the remaining 9 holes. partner with boys/girls clubs to create a kid league.

So that people could... 

have a charity disc golf event for mlkday and come together on the southeast side to enjoy a lowcost, family friendly sport. disc golf is a low impact, alternative to ball golf. it allow people from all walks of life to rediscover park use. disc golfers are avid park users and stewards. disc golfers make parks safer and maintain and improve park lands.

Because I want San Antonio to be...

on par with Austin. they have 6 courses with 2total renovations, & new course this year. we have 2.5 courses and no new course since 2008. s/e sa is not represented with a disc golf course. the could be part or the s/e sa revitalization project. disc golfer spend money in the community, eating at local restaurants and buying provisions for outings.

Highland Park Blvd. should be streetscaped w/trees to provide shade for biking & running. The same for Steves Rd. and add a dedicated bike lane. To allow for easy biking access to the River.

There are ZERO bookstores south of the downtown line. Not one. There should be a used bookstore that buys and sells books to the community. The McCreless market area is a great up and coming location.
