There is a storm drain that runs along the Dellview neighborhood, which is between West Ave. & Vance Jackson. The actual street is Wonder Parkway.

My idea to improve this place

Many people walk along this area for exercise. This idea would include signage telling motorists to watch for pedestrians, and enhanced crossings at busy streets. Distance markers are also required.

So that people could... 

Walk safely and an added benefit is healthier citizens.

Create a demonstration garden with native plants, install benches and walkways. Use the pavilion as the site of classes on low cost, high impact, water saving landscaping.

plant some of the lawn on the Donaldson curve with low-water fruit and vegetables to encourage eating fresh food by the students in this economically challenged neighborhood
