Community Garden Space

My idea to improve this place

Austin has community or co-op gardens. The spaces they have are paid for by those who use them which means they get to utilize whatever they plant. San Antonio's could be free and open to the public

So that people could... 

Enjoy the outdoors, learn responsibility of a growing thing and potentially pay a small fee to reap the benefits of the growing garden be it flowers, vegetables, fruit, etc.

Because I want San Antonio to be...

A green and healthy city. There is a bad stigma still about San Antonio and the obesity issues even with great events like Siclovia. We need to have more outdoor activities available to the public and to those of all ages. Young children, teens, adults and senior citizens could enjoy a community garden.

becuase it is HOT for half the year, downtown and/or hemisfair needs some kind of water fountain/sprinkler especially for children on a concrete pad ( similar to the one Austin has ).
