My idea to improve this place

Convert some of the smaller streets to pedestrian walkways.

So that people could... 

move with ease from one side of the walkway to the other.

Because I want San Antonio to be...

more accomodating to pedestrians than cars.

I would like to see this green space being used as a gathering spot for the community to watch movies on either Friday or Saturday evenings to bring back the concept of drive in movies

Downtown or other area with abandoned storefronts, 0.05 Kms

Get rid of the tacky souvenir shops in Alamo Plaza. They do a disservice to the Alamo and our Texan heritage. Replace them with LOCAL restaurants and cafes with ourdoor seating.

Visiting Denver in December, we stayed on 16th St Mall. It was amazing how easily you could move up and down the street to shop and Southwest Airlines sponsored an Ice Skating Rink. It was awesome!
