My idea to improve this place

is to increase accessibility and functionality as a living place - not just a destination place. We need easy and multi-modal public transportation and access to everyday, quality goods and services.

So that people could... 

work, live, shop (for need and desire), sit, walk, bike, eat, visit, and access contemporary art and commerce within a modern urban environment that promotes both density and historic preservation.

Because I want San Antonio to be...

a vital, living place which does not exist solely as a flat, tourist culture but exists instead to embrace and support it's own population.

No more flat parking lots, They're an eyesore and they radiate too much heat. Use solar paneling to maximize energy efficiently. Do something about the unsavory element at night. More police @ night.

The addition of one B-cycle station downtown, with approximately 10 bikes, to the bike share system, providing a healthy alternative means of transportation, all for a small price.

Add more green features - a central rooftop community garden, more recycling stations, solar panels, and improved road surfaces for bicyclers/pedestrians(replace tire-catching storm drain grates)
