My idea to improve this place

Make a 6 month or year pass available to residents to use the river taxi and/or river barge.

So that people could... 

This would decrease the need for parking spaces downtown and increase traffic to riverwalk businesses. It could even be sponsored by or offset by local riverwalk/downtown businesses

Because I want San Antonio to be...

more than just a place for tourists. I want it to be a place where locals hang out to have fun, live, and be social.

I am glad to see this idea multiple times on this ideas list. I work downtown and I would use it to get around for lunch on a regular basis! What a great idea!!

I absolutely love this idea! While I don't work downtown, I could surely imagine catching a leisurely ride into downtown and enjoying my time (along any portion of the river) on a regular basis.

It would be great reopen Avenue A where it dead ends at 13th St near the new 1221 Apts with a shared peds/bike only path or tunnel to connect that area with the Pearl district.

Add shade/protection/cover and benches for all Via bus stops. Making little old ladies stand in the summer sun for 30 minutes for their bus is ridiculous.
