My idea to improve this place
Extend and increase the size of San Pedro Park. Turn the VIA HQ block just south of San Pedro Park into a new section of the park.
So that people could...
Have a large size urban park that can and will complement the Hemisfair Park revitalization. It would increase the quality of life for San Antonians as well as add green space to the urban core.
Because I want San Antonio to be...
To be a place where people can come down and do outdoor activities and enjoy an outdoor lifestyle. I'm not talking about open fields lined with barbecue pits and concrete benches. I envision jogging and biking trails, soccer fields, polo fields, premier skate park. A southern extension could allow for a reconfigured northern section (current park) that could allow for more outdoor activities, an extended and larger San Pedro Pool, Music pavilion, etc.
