My idea to improve this place
The city should allow for billboards/advertisments on buildings and other structures in the Downtown area.
So that people could...
Help generate revenue for downtown infrastructure improvements. Create advertising avenues for businesses and organizations in and around DT (Southtown, King William, Tobin Hill, Museum reach, etc.) to direct potential visitors/customers to other area attractions and not just the Alamo and the Riverwalk.
Because I want San Antonio to be...
explored outside of the Riverwalk and the Alamo area.

I call for less advertising downtown. It is an eyesore and does not improve the experience of downtown.

I agree with @Joe S. San Antonio (in general) has too many signs. It's starting to look like Hong Kong except in HK they are spelled correctly. I saw a sign the other day that said "Cash for Glod" niiiice.

Free parking or reasonable parking fees. Why live, work, dine or shop downtown when you do not have to pay to park elsewhere in the city?

Add more green features - a central rooftop community garden, more recycling stations, solar panels, and improved road surfaces for bicyclers/pedestrians(replace tire-catching storm drain grates)
