My idea to improve this place

Add more green features - a central rooftop community garden, more recycling stations, solar panels, and improved road surfaces for bicyclers/pedestrians(replace tire-catching storm drain grates)

So that people could... 

interact with each other, feel a sense of contribution, and gain a better appreciation for the environment.

Because I want San Antonio to be...

a beacon for sustainability and community. Our future depends on our ability to reduce our negative environmental impact.

The gardens would also create a feature of interest for our visitors in high rise hotels. They are already fascinated by the "daisy" on roof of La Villita Assembly Hall. Real rooftop flowers and gardens would be many times more interesting.

The addition of one B-cycle station downtown, with approximately 10 bikes, to the bike share system, providing a healthy alternative means of transportation, all for a small price.

No more flat parking lots, They're an eyesore and they radiate too much heat. Use solar paneling to maximize energy efficiently. Do something about the unsavory element at night. More police @ night.

Allow some color! Every building downtown is brown or tan. That is a reflection of a dull city. Destroy old buildings and create new modern and a lively structure with glass, steal, or even wood
