OMAHA RIVERFRONT IMPROVEMENT PLAN

Places: Site C: National Park Service Facility

View south toward Lewis and Clark Landing.
NPS site is just beyond the silo. Pedestrian bridge would land near base of silo.
Development plan for NPS site. Orientation and design of building and grounds are to be determined, but plan shows opportunity to relate them to the bridge plaza and the waterfront.
The 5.8-acre NPS site will house 200-250 employees, with parking for 200 cars at the rear of the building. One concern is the area's lack of amenities. However, the property is prominently located adjacent to the planned Bridge Plaza - the waterfront's visual center and its largest public space - creating unique opportunities to showcase Park Service programs and encourage shared use of the facility. The NPS facility and Bridge Plaza, therefore, should be designed to flow together and complement each other.
