International Projects
PPS' international program aims to revitalize public spaces in a bottom-up approach that helps create real economic development, encourages democracy building, and empowers youth and citizens. We believe that this community-led and "place-based" approach inevitably leads to a more livable city, with enormous positive impacts on private investment, long-term competitiveness, and fiscal stability, as well as improvements in crime, education, local economies, and the health and well-being of citizens.
The Placemaking approach builds in the ability of local institutions to carry on the work to create great community places that bring people together and reflect community values and needs.
