New York, NY (December 5, 2001)- Project for Public Spaces (PPS), America's leading public-spaces nonprofit, was recognized twice this month by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), a professional organization with 13,500 members. Not only has PPS' training course, "How to Turn a Place Around." been accredited for Continuing Professional Development by the ASLA, but it is also featured in Land Online, the ASLA's digital newsletter. In her article, author Susan Hines noted the course's "... fascinating subject matter, witty teachers, interesting guest speakers, field trips, and cool people to hang with... (they) have distilled some basic truths about creating successful places".
