About

As our Web Manager, Qasim brings 10 years of Internet experience to the Project for Public Spaces - his unique life experience includes having lived in various Canadian cities (Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal), as well as Nairobi (Kenya) and now New York.

One of the first residents of Kenya to use the Internet, Qasim was involved with the country's sole service provider in 1995 (the African Regional Centre for Computing) in strategizing to promote access in Nairobi's educational institutions.

For more information about Qasim, you can visit his personal website or check out Indian Electronica - an online magazine that he produces, which showcases the Arts and Culture of South Asian Diaspora communities around the world.
