Why It Works
This amazing location has about a four-mile (one way) skating and biking path. Most is in the shade, but there are some sunny areas. The path twists next to a beautiful stream. You can hear it and see it as you skate. The path is very smooth and tar covered. This is a great place for beginners. It is never crowded!
What Makes Samuel P. Taylor State Park a Great Place?
You must park by the picnic area and bike or skate a small way on a park road to access the path.
The park is very clean; the park rangers keep a good eye on the place.
Camping, hiking, biking, picnics.
The beautiful large old trees make this a scenic visit. For those in the family who don't skate, they can barbeque at the picnic area.
