Creating An Urban Parks Movement
The parks movement of the 21st century is clearly emerging. In order to be successful, though, this movement must have an inspiring vision and compelling agenda, and be strongly rooted in local communities. It must also be aware of how other successful national movements took root and were created. This plenary will explore these ideas and give greater vision to how we can create a nationwide movement of city park leaders, advocates, and users.
