Excellent comments, both! This truly is about bigger lifestyle changes. Markets can make it easier to get more people to change the way that they shop and eat; but people need to change the way they shop and eat so that more successful markets can develop! It's a bit of a catch-22, but it's not insurmountable. If you live near a market, make it part of your routine. It's not just good for your diet, it's good for your whole town.

What a great story! I'm lucky enough to live in the Australian city of Adelaide, right in the city. I walk to & from work, thru a great market, Adelaide Central market. On the walk to work I get fruit for the day & on the walk home I get veggies for dinner, it's the highlight of my day, I love my market. When I travel, the first thing I do when I arrive in a new city is find the markets!
