New Fort Point Neighborhood Alliance, Waterfront Boston, fighting for a Park and Lower Building Heights! Help!
We are a new neighborhood association (Fort Point Neighborhood Alliance) . We are residents on the waterfront fighting for the city not to allow to make 300′ buildings (though private deals with landowners) with no neighborhood/tourist park which would make a statement for the city, and provide an unhostile urban environment. Time is of the essence. 45 old and new residents have been meeting for the past month, planning more agressive public strategies. Do you have suggestions? We are not against development in this previously industrial waterfront, we just want it done right for present residents and for Boston’s future. It has a chance to be breathtaking, to make Boston a world-class city. It has to be done right before this urban landscape is destroyed. We are against the 100 Acres Plan as proposed by the Boston Redevelopment Agency (BRA). Can you advise?
