I, too, would like more information about this project. I wonder if a model could be built in a smaller community such as Naivasha in order to determine the varying flows of Kenyan communities. They are somewhat dissimilar from western ones.

Love the idea. The Silanga field is so underutilized, and it deserves more. For reference, the Ekotoilets referred to here are projects by a local Kibera-based non profit called Umande Trust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trUsnKGKEMo&feature=related They’re website seems to be down at the moment, but they’re located in Olympic Estate and they’re doing great work for the community, but rarely getting the credit they deserve.

Very positive thinking. I live in Nairobi and am also engaged with these issues to create great urban spaces in this city. Would be keen on further information on this project.
