Brendan is PPS’s Communications Manager, meaning that he’s responsible for writing, editing, and coordinating new content here on PPS.org (and other outlets throughout the Placemaking universe). His primary goal, in all of his work, is to make cities more enjoyable, accessible, and socially-engaging for people.
Before joining PPS, Brendan worked as the Program Coordinator for the Institute for Urban Design, where he developed the outreach strategy for the By the City / For the City crowdsourced design competition and New York City’s first-ever Urban Design Week festival. He is also an alumnus of the Americorps VISTA service program. He blogs at Where, and his writing has appeared in Dwell, MAS Context, Next American City, and The Urbanophile, among other outlets.
